AboutI am a doctor in Canterbury hospital since 2013. I have a degree in Islamic Studies from Zad Academy. I always helped in Mosque activities wherever I live. This started from as early as my teenage years. I arrange Ramadan Muslim iftar gathering and other Muslim gathering in Canterbury since my arrival to live here. I am passionate about reaching out for non-Muslims with the beauty of our Islam. And I am also interested in keeping our youth and children in good relationship with their Deen with each other, and to make a practical balance between their identities as Muslims and British citizens. I hope I can serve my Muslim community to my utmost capabilities if I am elected in the committee. Our Mosque is our light and we should all feel as one wherever we came from.

Why interested in applying for this positionI always helped in Mosque activities wherever I live. This started from as early as my teenage years. I was an active member in the Islamic student union in my university.
2 objectives to achieve in the next 12 monthsTo develop an active group to look after and supervise an integral project for the muslim teens in our community. They are the future of us and they need to feel as part of the larger muslim community. This will constitute regular meetings with indulging activities inside and outside our mosque. To develop an active channel between the mosque and the non- muslim communities in the area, reaching out for persons, organisations, formal bodies and groups. To show our beauty of Islam and show the muslim community as a positive and active part of their larger community. This will help showing the real picture of Islam and muslims and fight positively against prejudice and fake propaganda.
