Assalam Alekom visitors of Canterbury mosque,
This message is to kindly remind our brothers and sisters about the different parking locations at the University of Kent campus that visitors can use. All the following parking areas are Pay-and-Display, which means you have to purchase a permit to park and display it clearly so that you won’t receive a fine.
Central Visitor Car Park:
Sports Centre Car Park:
Beverle Farm Car Park:
Pavilion Car Park:
Oaks Car Park:
The university transport team has advised us that Beverle Farm, Pavilion and Oaks car parks usually have more capacity to accommodate visitors.
Please check these different locations for parking, allow more time for parking when coming to Friday prayers, and make sure to park legally and in a considerate way.
We don’t want anyone to get a parking fine, and we don’t wish anyone to park illegally or cause any disturbance to either students or teachers who study and work at the university.
Parking your car in the right way and place is ihsan that we should all do as Muslims.
May Allah reward you all.
