Canterbury Mosque is pleased to announce that 1 Ramadan 1444 is on Thursday 23 March 2023

The first Tarawih prayers will be in the evening of Wednesday 22 March after Isha inshallah. Tarawih will be led by a professional Qari.

May Allah grant us all acceptance and good deeds in Ramadan.

We are pleased to announce that the Ground floor of the Mosque will be available from 4 pm until Fajr everyday during Ramadan for brothers use but please remember that the ground floor is closed for construction between 8.00 am and 4.00 PM, so please do not attempt to access as builders will be inside. 

The rest of the mosque, such as first floor and shed, is closed,❌ and no prayers will take place at these parts. 

Please read the following carefully:

Prayers details for brothers👨🏻‍💼

A. Maghrib , Isha , Fajr , and Taraweeh Prayers will take place at the mosque ground floor 
B. Zohr and Asr Prayers to take place in the sister side .

Prayers details for Sisters 🧕 

A. Sisters can pray,  Maghrib, Isha, Fajr, and Taraweeh at the sister side.
B. For Zohr and Asr, we deeply apologise, You will not be able to pray  zohr and Asr anywhere in the mosque.

Please be  mindful of the following while using the mosque ground floor, Please read carefully:

1. The Ground Floor is not painted, and its floor is CONCRETE .

2. Only the Ground Floor will be used for men prayers, and all other areas such as the First floor and the Shed are Out Of Use❌ Please do not attempt to access.

3. Please bring a well-Padded Prayer Mat  with you.

4. No Wudu or toilets facilities at the mosque. However, cold water tap and mobile toilet box is located in the mosque car park if needed only!.

5. Health and Safety tips: 
A. Health and safety marshals 🦺, who are trained brothers from our community, will be presented during Taraweeh . Please follow their instructions and guide jazz Akom Allah khiran.
B. Keep your children 👦🏽👧👦🏻👧🏿 with you all time, and remember, the mosque is still a construction site. 

6. No IETKAF at the mosque this year.

7. Please bring a bottle of water for your use.

8. Tahajud will take place enshalah at the last ten days of Ramadan.

9. Friday Prayer 
Friday Prayer will take place enshalah in the Sports Centre Hall 2 at the University of Kent unless it is announced otherwise and moved to a different location. 

10. Taraweeh Time and Duration 
A. Taraweeh prayer will take place after Isha prayer straightaway every day.
B. Taraweeh will be 20 Rakaa enshalah. 

11. Mosque car park is closed, so please use the nearby parking.
