Eid Day breakfast

Canterbury Mosque hosted an Eid Day breakfast after EID Prayers for the revert Muslims and some members of our community who were alone on Eid Day.

Members of the committee attended to share stories about the history of the masjid. This was very much appreciated.  At this point we had around 50 people in the room. There were around 30 sisters.

During the event Imam also took 2 shahadas. Allahu Akbar!

We enjoyed breakfast and there were gifts for attendees made up of chocolates and a book by Dr Omar Suliman about prophet Muhammad.

Perhaps one of the most fitting comments was,  “I didn’t know what I was going to do on Eid Day”.

These events mean so much to community members. We can go from strength to strength inshallah.
