As a Muslim community, we have always believed in the importance of Interfaith relations. Our Mosque has its door open to the whole community to encourage everyone to drop in and learn about the true Islam.
One very important way to introduce Islam to the wider community is through inviting schools to visit our mosque and/or offering a visit to schools.
For more than a decade, Canterbury Mosque has opened its door to school visits to reinforce their learning. The usual visitors are Primary Schools, however, Secondary schools are very welcome.
We have had very positive reviews along the years. Children as well as their teachers enjoy the visits and learn a lot.
If you wish a visit to or from our mosque, please sent us email at Visits@canterburymosque.co.uk or fill in the form and we will get in touch within 48 hours.
Dress code: We, kindly, request that you dress modestly when you visit us. Female teachers, please wear a head scarf. And during the summer, please ask girls older than 10 years old to wear trousers or cover their legs. If you don’t have a scarf or trousers, we have scarves and long skirts available to lend.
Before you book please check the link below:

Good morning
I am a teacher at Kent College Junior School, and we would love to take our pupils to visit our local Mosque. I saw on your website the gallery of activities that you provide for children, and it looks amazing! We would be looking at bringing our Year 5s to you (about 35 children), would that be possible, and how does it work? (i.e. booking, costs, etc….)
Many thanks,
Marie Hutchinson
